(That's a pretty good title don't you think? Unfortunately that is all I have, a good title, don't even have anything to go with it. Let's see if we can work something out.)
Sometimes good things go bad. We all have had something look so right and then go so wrong. I remember seeing a video of a burned down house. The reason for the charred domicile was a reaction that occurred within a small bucket. The man was frying a turkey, deep frying. I must say that a deep fried turkey sounds good, though I have never had one. The problem is that the man didn't know what he was doing. He didn't defrost the turkey and he threw that big frozen bird into the bubbling hot oil and there went the neighborhood, or at least half a block. Extreme example for sure, but it illustrates that without care even the good things can turn out wrong.
Then on the other side, "when good things go great". With care and nurture good things can be turned into great things. A small business can turn into a big thriving one. A few ingredients can turn into a gourmet meal. With care, a new babe in Christ can grow into a force for Christ. Small things sure, but good things nonetheless, can become great.
Growth is necessary in our lives. If we are not growing then we are shrinking. Our relationships must grow, our spiritual knowledge must grow, our relationship with God must grow. Many good things are in our care. How will they turn out? The outcome is in our hands; will we grow or not, will we work those things into good or bad? Let us give great care that those good things don't turn into bad things but rather GREAT things.
(Not bad for a title without an idea huh?)
